free tutorials for web designers

In this part of the site I share some of my design and programming knowledge with you.

I would like to make it clear at this point that I am not claiming to be a web design 'guru'. I do however have a good few years experience in HTML, CSS, javascript, PHP and MySQL and more recently I have been working with AJAX and DOM.

The purpose of this part of the site is not to preach to you how it is done, all the tutorials are open to discussion and I invite developers of all levels to come and join the chat. If you are new to web design I have written a number of 'getting started' articles that start at the very beginning, even if you've never seen a piece of code before you'll be able to follow the step by step instructions. More experienced developers can search the database using the form above for a variety tutorials on a wide range of subjects.

Developers are welcome to send me their own tutorials. This is an easy way for you to get an incoming link to your site as I will link back to you from the tutorial and we all know that the search engines just love those incoming links. If you would like to contribute then please email me all the text for the tutorial and include your name and web site address.
